Thich Nhat Hanh, a beloved Buddhist monk, peace campaigner, and prolific spiritual author, died in the T Hiu Temple in Hu, Vietnam, at exactly midnight on January 22, 2022. He was 95 years old at the time.

Martin Luther King Jr. nominated Thich Nhat Hanh for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1967, which he received. In 1991, he received the Courage of Consciousness Award.
